Chimera 66, # 17

Linking to the HOST

It’s over Mona Lisa’s guile.
We know her look; her glance;
that ENIGMAtic smile.
She stares at us a bit askance.

Does reticence enhance a lady’s charm?
He’s enticed.  Imagination leaps.
Expectancy is that which does disarm.

The world still favors love, mysterious.
DaVinci must have known life’s but a dream
when he took brush-in-hand , his Mona was
elusive as her curving lips did seem.

(Prompt: write about the word, “enigma” in exactly 66 words.)

    Reticence truly can enhance a woman’s charm. The Mona Lisa is a fine example of that. A very nicely wrought poem. Kudos!
